Attendance: 13,621

Aberdeen's Scottish Premiership season continued, as did a 100% start to this, with another at Pittodrie against Dundee on Saturday.

A second half double from last season's top goalscorer Rooney saw the Dons through to a two-nil win.

Early Aberdeen dominance couldn't be turned into a goal with Goodwillie, heading wide, Hayes and Rooney all having chances but the Dons couldn't get the breakthrough.

This remained the case at the half time break with Rooney seeing his header hit the top of the crossbar.

After the break though Dundee pushed an had a great chance to go ahead when Stewart but in Hemmings, however when left with a one-on-one with Liverpool loanee 'keeper Ward it was the Aberdeen man that came out on top with Stewart himself and Hemmings again threatening for the visitors.

The Dons made the breakthrough though at the midway point of the second half when Hayes' cross into the box was headed home by Rooney (66) to make it one-nil, which would have been two but for Shinnie's effort being kept out by a fine save from Dundee 'keeper Bain.

In injury-time though a chance to secure the points came when Harkins brought down Rooney for a penalty. Rooney (90) himself took this and wrapped up a two-nil win to make it four successive wins to kick-off the season for the first time since the 1991/92 season!
