The Player and Players' Player of the Year scored deep into injury-time to earn us a point from a one-one draw at Dens Park, ending Dundee's own run of five defeats in a row.
McInnes, understandably, made several changes giving some a chance to show what they could do and we started well with Dundee 'keeper Letheren denying Pawlett and making a fine point-blank save from Goodwillie's header, who headed over from six-yards when he should have done better soon after.
These misses, with others following those mentioned, were punished when Tankulic (43) made the most of Daniels' mistake with his header back too short to give Dundee the lead just before the break.
Robson was denied by Letheren again when he turned his effort away when McGowan himself almost securing Dundee's win but his effort couldn't hit the target and this gave us continued hope of getting something.
We pushed on and in then end we got the point, which was the least we deserved, when Rooney (90+3) got us a point at the death.
In earning this point we recorded a highest points total, aside from Celtic and Rangers, in the topflight overtaking Hearts' previous record to move onto 75-points for the season but this will only be good enough for second place, we'll be looking to build on this over the summer to challenge again next season.
